Having only entered the mainstream agricultural sector 4 years ago with the ME-Series, the Japanese manufacturer continues to make significant in roads with their home grown product that is becoming well respected in the farming community for it's durability, reliability and economy. The M108s continues this trend and builds on it with new features that will no doubt appeal to an even wider audience.
Incorporating Kubota's new common rail diesel engine, a 32 x 32 gearbox with hydraulic shuttle, on demand 4WD and a host of ergonomic features such as air conditioning, the M108S delivers unparalleled productivity and outstanding versatility.
The M108s features Kubota's innovative E-CDIS turbo charged 108hp diesel engine, with Common Rail System (CRS) to significantly reduce emissions and fuel consumption. Compliant to E.U. Stage 3 emissions regulations, the CRS optimises fuel efficiency and emits fewer harmful pollutants. The engine also delivers outstanding torque back up, enabling operations in the mid rpm range to be performed smoothly and with ease.
To further reduce noxious emissions, the M108S also boasts Kubota's cooled EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) System. By diverting exhaust gas through a cooler before returning it to the combustion chambers, gas temperature is reduced and nitrogen oxide formation is hampered.
The transmission on this new tractor is inherited from it's predecessor, the very successful M105s, with a 32 speed range as standard and up to 48 speeds with optional creep speed gearbox. Incorporating Kubota's hydraulic shuttle for smooth and progressive directional changes without having to use the clutch, a real advantage for loader work in particular. The M108s also boasts the "swing shift" and "dual speed" that were well proven on the previous model. Swing shift allows you to change range without using the clutch, and just using the main gearshift lever. Dual speed allows clutchless on the move speed changes when you need them most. When the engine comes under load; when hauling a trailer up hill for example; simply push the dual speed button and a 17% reduction in travel speed is achieved allowing the engine to work more efficiently.
The tractor offers Independent PTO, a 4100 kgs lift capacity, autohitch and 2 auxiliary valves as standard. The new M108s also offers on demand 4 wheel drive, so when you engage the brakes in 2WD, it automatically engages 4WD for maximum braking efficiency. Trailer braking is also fitted as standard on this tractor. The short wheel base and tight steering angle make the M108s a highly maneuverable machine for it's class.
The M108s is not only a powerful, versatile tractor for a wide range of farming tasks, it's equipped for long hours of use with a 175 litre fuel tank capacity, this economical tractor can work long hours between refills. The cab is also designed for the operator to work long hours without fatigue setting in. The spacious cab has all the controls laid out ergonomically, and the new dash panel gives the operator all they need to know about the tractors performance. With an air suspension seat, CD/Radio and air conditioning as standard in the spacious cab, the operator is well catered for in the M108s.
This new tractor has also been redesigned on the outside, but none of the practicalities have been forsaken in the process. With slanted, fully opening bonnet and side stack exhaust, all round visibility is maximized and access to the engine is quick and simple for routine maintenance. Improved lighting is also a new feature on this tractor for those long days of work.
Kubota is also introducing it's own newly designed loader for the M108s with a host of new features specifically aimed at the farming market. Kubota has been a leading manufacturer of loaders it it's own right for a number of years, and this new generation of loader gives the customer the full package from one source. Boasting a specification that can include hydraulic self leveling, 3rd function hydraulic service, Euro 8 quick hitch, single lever quick coupler and Kubota's shockless ride the LA1403 loader from Kubota offers everything you might need from a farm loader. Coupled to this highly maneuverable tractor, it makes for a winning combination.
Whether you are running a busy livestock farm, dairy unit, mixed or arable farm, the M108s delivers on performance, durability, reliability, economy and with Kubota's 3 year warranty as standard, full piece of mind. Kubota are also offering the option to cover the tractor for up to 5 years with the introduction of Kubota Protection Plan (KPP).
